Hometown: I was born and raised in Honesdale, PA.

Education: I attended the Wayne Highlands School District. I graduated from Bloomsburg University with a dual degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education. I attended graduate school at Wilkes University to earn a Masters of Science in Classroom Technology.

Teaching Experience: I started teaching kindergarten at Damascus Area School in 2010. I previously worked at a KinderCare Learning Center for two years as an assistant Prek-2/Kindergarten and School Age teacher. I participated in an Urban Practicum at Bethlehem, PA in both an AM and PM Kindergarten. (Click here if you'd like to hear more about my experience!) I student taught in Kindergarten and 4th Grade Science in Muncy, PA. I am extremely happy being a part of the Damascus Team and teaching Kindergarten!

Family: I am the youngest of three. I have an older sister and brother. My husband and I have four wonderful children (one son and three daughters [two are twins]). I have two adorable nephews who I also love to spend time with. I am very blessed and thankful for my family.

Reason to Teach: My mom taught first grade for thirty-five years, which has inspired me to become a teacher since I was four years old. I always loved school and the teachers I had growing up.

Interests: I enjoy being outside and being active by running, walking, skiing, and swimming. In my spare time I enjoy being with my family and friends.
